Easy pan-fried noodles

Easy pan-fried noodles are stir-fried Chinese noodles, meat, and vegetables seasoned with oyster sauce and soy sauce. It is quick and easy. You can make it with whatever ingredients you have on hand.

Ingredients

  • 400~500 gram Cooked noodles Prepare the noodles according to the instructions on the package.
  • 200~250 gram Meat of your choice (cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • 350~400 gram Vegetables of your choice (cut into easy-to-eat-pieces)
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable oil
  • 4 tablespoon Oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoon Japanese soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon Japanese sake or Chinese rice wine
  • ** 1~2 teaspoon Curry powder (optional)

Instructions

  • Cut the vegetables into easy-to-eat pieces. If you use meat other than minced meat, cut it into bite-sized pieces.
  • Prepare the noodles according to the instructions on the package.  If the noodles tend to stick together, add a small amount of vegetable oil (not listed) to coat the noodles with oil.
  • Add oil to a frying pan and heat over medium heat to fry the minced meat.
  • When the meat turns brown, add the vegetables. Fry until tender.  (If using green onions, set them aside as they will be added later.)
  • Add the noodles and stir-fry until the noodles are mixed with the meat and vegetables.
    Add the seasonings (oyster sauce, soy sauce, Japanese sake, curry powder if you like) and stir-fry until seasonings are evenly distributed. Check the taste here.   Add seasoning if necessary.
  • Finally, add the green onions and stir-fry briefly.

Notes

The amount of vegetables and meat is approximate, so adjust the seasoning after checking the taste.
