About crispy spicy fried fish

Crispy Spicy Fried Fish is an easy, crispy and light white fish fry.  I used to make this often with chicken breast.  But since we don’t eat fish very often, I used white fish instead. It’s equally delicious when made with white fish.

When I eat fried fish, I often dip it in tartar sauce.  But this one has a spicy taste, so I don’t need to add anything.  Of course you can dip in some sauce if you like.  You can eat it with bread as a sandwich, or you can use it as a snack with beer.  Besides, if you have the ingredients, you can do it right away, hence I think it’s a useful recipe to remember.  It’s especially crispy and delicious when it’s freshly fried, so please try it.

Recipe tips

I use Pangasius, a fish that is easily available here, but I think any white fish you can get will be fine.

I cut fish into sticks. This is because it can be fried in a short time and it is easy to eat even if you hold it in your hand.  However, you can cut it into any shape you like.   In that case, please adjust the frying time.

As for the amount of spices, for example chili powder, the spiciness varies considerably depending on the product, so make it a few times and adjust it to your liking.

When frying fish, don’t touch it for the first minute until the batter hardens.  This will prevent the batter from peeling off and fry crispy.

Lastly, you can do the same with chicken breast. In this case, after mixing the seasoning, let it sit for about an hour.
